Pronunciation and intonation • To improve, listen carefully:
✓ Conversations with natives,
✓ Radio and tv,
✓ Films,
✓ Songs…

Fluidité
• Practice your monologue: for a few minutes’ speaking practice every day→ Find a theme (your day, your favourite book, film or music, a summary of an article you’ve read…) and talk about it…
• Take part in conversations :
→ Take every opportunity to speak with native speakers or competent speakers.
Don’t be ashamed! Try to repeat what you hear. Ask what you didn’t understand or, if you’re not sure you understood, ask how it’s pronounced.SLIDE 5
Vocabulary
• practice your lexical field :✓ Prepare a list of words/phrases on the theme you are working on.
✓ Use it to make a short presentation (2 or 3 minutes), trying to use at least 5 words from the list.
✓ Register at
✓ Listen to the recording and write down the words you used.

• Reading aloud :✓ Read a page aloud (your favourite book, an article, a poem…) → In this way, you can practise reading, pronunciation and intonation, vocabulary and grammar all at the same time.
• Evaluation :
✓ Record yourself speaking.
✓ Then listen to the recordings → Assess them against the objectives you set yourself :− Did you speak fluently enough ?
