CLYC’s teaching services offer you the chance to improve your listening, reading and speaking skills in a range of languages using a variety of media (DVDs, audio CDs, CD-ROMs, websites, press, etc.) and documents (methods, authentic documents sometimes accompanied by a transcription or script, exercises, bilingual and monolingual dictionaries and grammars).
CLYC also offers conversation exchanges (tandems) where you can meet students learning your language and talk to them in the language of your choice. To register, please ask at reception.
Subject to staff availability, CLYC offers you the chance to practise your oral expression in Arabic, English, French as a foreign language, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish by taking part in conversation sessions with native speakers. You can also take part in other workshops in small groups led by teachers.
To take part, register online in the Oral Expression room (room 3). You will then be able to converse in small groups (maximum 8 people) led by a native speaker.
CLYC also has a camcorder room. You can film your oral performances, prepare your presentations and your interviews in foreign languages. Book a time slot with the reception staff.
CLYC can also help you improve your learning strategies. Advisers are available by appointment to help you organise your learning, choose activities and draw up a programme tailored to your individual needs.
If you wish to work on site, documents are available in exchange for your student card.
Finally, on 8 March 2018, CLYC inaugurated its virtual reality room equipped with three ‘Oculus Rift’ and offers language workshops to travel around the planet, visit the International Space Station or experience life in a virtual world.
